DIY Backyard Brickyard

That’s best practice. Adobe bricks are heavy, I mean they were used to build forts. Shipping them can be outrageous. So the best course of action is to set up your own on-site, movable brickyard, and it doesn’t need to be expensive. Plus if it is tucked away enough you can just keep on producing your own building materials and add garden walls, an ADU, garden sheds- what have you.

That’s one of our specialties at Wild Mojave Adobe Brickmaking, putting together the most efficient and space conscious small brickyards. Most often setting it up to be a one person show!

We advise on sourcing materials, testing soils and perfecting the recipe to adhere to the crazy, challenging building codes in California. With just a little help from us, you will be making California Engineered Structural Adobe Bricks. Or, you could just make them as a hobby for decorative building. Both are great.
